Art at the Cathedral

Art at the Cathedral (AATC) is a voluntary committee made up of art lovers within the church and community. Our goal is to provide ‘sacred space’ for artists who feel that visual art is one of their modes of spirituality. Artists of many different faiths participate in the exhibits. Gallery hours are 9:30am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday and by special request.

We participate in Gallery Hop on the 3rd Friday evening every other month along with the other art galleries in downtown Lexington. Please join us for amazing art, delicious food, and wonderful music. Dates for the 2020 season are January 17, March 20, May 15, July 17, September 18 and November 20.

The Inspiration

"Flowers always make people better, happier, and more helpful; they are sunshine, food and medicine for the soul."  Luther Burbank.

The Art Exhibit

Christ Church Cathedral is pleased to host an artist open based on the theme “The Glory of Flowers” with 94 paintings, quilts, weavings and photographs by 50 talented Central Kentucky artists.

Cautions with COVID

As long as the Cathedral remains closed due to COVID-19, please enjoy our “Virtual Gallery Hop” which features all of the art in the exhibit.  The soundtrack, “Emergence” by Helios, describes with music what we all hope to do by July 17 - the earliest possible next real Gallery Hop.
