Benevolence Fund

Helping Those in Need Every Way We Can

We are called to be a people of prayer and action. In order to address the needs of the community in this season, Christ Church Cathedral has established a Benevolence Fund to offer financial support for individuals and families who have fallen on difficult times as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

If you are a community member who regularly attends services, connects in small groups, or volunteers at Christ Church Cathedral, you are a vital member of our community. We know that these are difficult times and we encourage you to apply for financial support.

See below to donate to this fund or to apply for support.

Our Goals

The effects of the pandemic have been widespread. It has reshaped our world and it has changed the ways we are able to stay connected to God and one another. It has also caused significant loss, most importantly the loss of lives, but also the loss of resources.

The members of the Christ Church Cathedral family are not immune to these challenges, and it is our commitment to offer not only compassion but also financial support to those who need it. This will empower all of our members to be a people of prayer and action in the world.

To that end, with the approval of the Vestry, Christ Church Cathedral has established a restricted fund known as a Benevolence Fund, to provide financial support for individuals and families who have fallen on difficult times financially as a result of or in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Whether you have lost a job, had your pay reduced, or your business is struggling to survive, the Benevolence Fund is designed to provide one-time payments of $500 - $2,500 to help Cathedral community members through these unprecedented times.
