Contemplative Spirituality
Contemplative Photography
Learning to slow down & be present during Lent.
Sundays at 10am, February 26 - March 26
This is a class for ANYONE.
This will be an adventure in creativity and faith. You don't need a special camera and you don't need to know anything about photography or contemplative practices (but if you do, it will still be fun!). Bring your cell phone or any other device you like to take pictures with, and join us! Using the book Eyes of the Heart by Christine Valters Paintner as our guide, we will learn together about contemplative practices and how photography can provide a space to help us slow down and connect with God in new ways.
Connecting with Creation in Lent
A day of guided meditation and quiet reflection.
Saturday March 11, 10am - 2pm
A time for some quiet. A break from the rush. An opportunity to slow down. Setting aside part of a day for quiet can provide perspective about what is really important and offer renewal for your spirit.
Theologian and climate activist Rev. Dr. Leah D. Schade will offer spiritual wisdom on how we can find that renewal by connecting with and caring for God's creation. The day will consist of guided meditation, moments for reflection, a pause for lunch (please bring a sack lunch with you), and conclude with Holy Eucharist.
