STUDENT|Life – the youth ministry for students in grades 6-12 at Christ Church Cathedral – seeks to be a Christian community reflecting Christ’s love and acceptance to all people.

SUMMER SIP & STUDY
June 14, 21, & 28 + August 9-23
All 6th-12th graders are invited to join Emery as we dive into God's word. We'll grab a beverage and explore a different passage. Students can bring a Bible and we'll provide a printed version as well. We'll gather at the Cathedral at 9:30 and walk over to the new Grounded All Day Cafe. We'll be back by 10:45 so that any acolytes can prepare for service.
The purpose of this time together is to give our students foundational tools to explore scripture together and on their own. We will have two sessions in the summer. In the month of June we will explore the Old Testament, and in August we will look at the New Testament, and I'll provide helpful context all along the way. Students can come to one or them all.

Come share a meal, engage with friends, and deepen your experience of faith. Each week we begin by breaking bread (once a month we’ll be cooking our own food!); we have fun and interactive games, and we share in lessons and small group time.
DYG: Downtown Youth Group
Sunday at 5:00PM, Monthly
Christ Church Cathedral, First Presbyterian Church, Central Christian Church, and Faith Lutheran have created a partnership called the Downtown Youth Group (DYG). Each month students from these four downtown Lexington congregations come together for fun, fellowship, and faithful teaching. On these Sundays, we will meet at the designated Church at 5:00pm. When the gatherings are at First Presbyterian or Central Christian, we will walk over. When we are meeting at Faith Lutheran we will need to carpool over together.
Student Confirmation
Classes Begin October 2026
One key component of STUDENT|Life is Confirmation. Confirmation is an important part of a lifetime journey of faith as followers of Jesus. Many students elect to be confirmed at some time during their high school careers. Confirmation classes begin in the fall and culminate with the Bishop’s visit and our celebration of confirmation in late spring. Students interested in exploring confirmation will meet on select Sundays at 12:15pm (lunch included!) to prepare for this important step in their Christian walk. We work with students and their families to offer purposeful spiritual formation and exciting activities while also establishing meaningful and lasting relationships with one another in a distinctly Christian environment.
