The Cathedral LGBTQ+ Group
Who We Are
The LGBTQ+ Group is a space for our LGBTQ+ members as well as allies and supporters. We gather for fellowship, fun, outreach, and mutual upbuilding to grow deeper into community and faith together.

Christ Church Cathedral is a place of welcome and full belonging for all God's people. You are made in God's image, and you are loved!

The Cathedral is an official sponsor of the 2023 Lexington Pride Festival!
We will have a booth at Pride where we will distribute water, give out temporary tatoos and stickers, and be a welcoming presence to show that Christ Church Cathedral is a spiritual home where every LGBTQ+ person fully belongs. We are looking for folks to staff our booth in 1-hour blocks between 10am and 6pm on Saturday, June 24, at the Central Bank Center. Learn more below, or Click here to sign up now!
Pride is on Saturday, June 24, at the Central Bank Center and we are looking for folks to staff the Cathedral booth! We are asking for 1-hour blocks, but you are welcome to take multiple blocks if you want.
PRIDE, Saturday, June 24
SCHEDULE OF VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
10am - 11am
Help set up and decorate the Cathedral booth.
11am - 5pm
Be a fun and welcoming presence, hand out stickers, temporary tatoos, water, and talk with folks who might be interested in the Cathedral community.
5pm - 6pm
Help take down the booth and clean up.
Everyone who signs up will recieve an email identifying the location of the Cathedral booth within the Central Bank Center as soon as we have that information (last year the festival informed us the morning of the event).
**Please note that this year there will be an entrance fee of $10 to enter the festival. You will need to purchase an entrance pass in order to staff the Cathedral booth. We do not want the entrance fee to prevent anyone from participating in this ministry opportunity so please contact Rev. Charles Halton at chalton@ccclex.org for a scholarship if you have a financial need.
If you are interested in learning more about LGBTQ+ life here at the Cathedral, including marriage, services of renaming, or other sacramental ministries, contact Rev. Thomas Becker at tbecker@ccclex.org
