Small groups are where our large church becomes small. Groups gather in person and online to discuss their interests, to pursue spiritual growth, and to grow in authentic community.

    Tuesdays at 7:30am, Online Only Need a good word to start your day? Studying scripture together in community provides direction and purpose as God's word inspires us in surprising ways.   • Education for Ministry (EFM)
    Education for Ministry (EfM) is a unique four-year certificate program in theological education based upon small-group study and practice. EfM helps the faithful encounter the breadth and depth of the Christian tradition and bring it into conversation with their experiences of the world as they study, worship, and engage in theological reflection together. The program invites participants into small, mentored groups that provide the framework for understanding life and shaping actions as Christian faith is deepened. EfM seminar groups meet in local settings and online, and provide a four-year curriculum that develops a theologically informed, reflective, and articulate laity. Interested in learning more?   • Prayer Shawl Knitters
    Knitters provide shawls knitted with prayer for our Cathedral members who are shut in or having surgery or a new baby.     During Sunday Worship Services Acolytes have an important job as leaders of worship! Our young people work with Vergers to ensure the orderly flow of public worship services and provide the context where people can experience God's presence in gathered worship.   • The Cathedral Imps
    Saturdays at 8:30-9:15am in the Choir room September through mid-May. The Cathedral Imps is for boys and girls ages 4 through 8. Choristers work on singing skills, basic notation and sight reading, movement and Christian understanding. This is a preparatory choir for the Cathedral Boys and Cathedral Girls choirs.     Wednesdays and Thursdays 4:30-6:00pm in the Choir room The Cathedral Boys Choir is open to boys age of 8 through voice change.   • ATB Choir
    Wednesdays at 6:30pm in the Choir room Admission to the Alto, Tenor and Bass Choir is by competitive audition. Auditions are normally held each fall. Audition requirements emphasize vocal ability and sight-singing. Students at Transylvania University and the University of Kentucky are particularly encouraged to apply.
