Weddings at the Cathedral

​

A wedding at Christ Church Cathedral is available to our members and their children who have been in good standing for at least one year. The Cathedral is also available to members in good standing of other Episcopal parishes in the Diocese of Lexington.

The Episcopal Church and Christ Church Cathedral affirm and support marriage between same sex couples and opposite sex couples.

 

All marriages at the Cathedral must be performed by a Priest on staff at Christ Church or another Priest in the Diocese of Lexington with a Cathedral Priest assisting.

   

At least one of the couple to be married must have been baptized.  The couple must complete pre-marital counseling with the Priest prior to the wedding.

   

Weddings are not performed during the liturgical seasons of Advent and Lent, and in May.
