Weddings at the Cathedral

Weddings at Christ Church Cathedral are available to Cathedral members who have been in good standing for at least one year (and their children). 

​

The Episcopal Church and Christ Church Cathedral affirm and support marriage between same sex couples and opposite sex couples.

 

All marriages at the Cathedral must be performed by a Priest on staff at Christ Church or another Priest in the Diocese of Lexington with a Cathedral Priest assisting.

   

At least one of the couple to be married must have been baptized. The couple must complete pre-marital counseling with the Priest prior to the wedding.

   

Weddings are not performed during the liturgical seasons of Advent and Lent, and in May.
